UNIVERSITY OF CHESTER

The University of Chester Campus harnesses HYVERT to improve Biodiversity and reduce the carbon footprint of four buildings.

We were delighted to be approached by the University of Chester for this project, our first educational establishment to feature Green Walls. Chester is also the city where I Want Plants first began, then known as Interior Landscaping. It was founded in 1978 by Keith and Vivienne Rowlands, from humble beginnings to 2021 installing green infrastructure all over the UK.

HYVERT Living walls were a perfect solution for upgrading this building facade. Two symmetrical walls flank the doors creating a focal point at the building entrance. The planting has been designed to showcase the change in colour and texture of the plants throughout all the seasons. The first building was such a success we have subsequently completed Green Walls to four more buildings. Our HYVERT service team regularly maintain the walls so that they remain as pristine as the day they were installed.
